A prequel to my story To Serve and Protect, this one is set during Sheltered Outcasts (Season 17, Episode 19). Barba hears that Carisi was assaulted during his undercover assignment at the halfway house. He's not concerned. They aren't in a relationship or anything. He just wanted to check. Worriedly. Sonny finds the whole thing endearing. Part of my Barisi AU series.
