Summary
Carol left her husband Ed after he abused her and threatened their only daughter. Taking refuge with a group of other survivors in a quarry near Atlanta, Carol wonders whether 'happy ever afters' are just things that happen in books as her Prince Charming in the past turned out to be a troll in disguise. Little does she know that sometimes it can happen in real life too.
