Veronica just seems incapable of confrontation. Sometimes she really should stop running away from things she doesn't want to face. Spoilers up to and including S01E18 (Weapons of Class Destruction), unfortunately avoidance doesn't always work and every time she is anywhere near him she can't seem to ignore her heart.
