In the first six years, Mulder and Scully existed in a slow burn of passion and innuendo. One could feel the heat of their UST, but shippers were mostly left outside in the cold. I was a patient shipper-but this Dream Sequence was the result of my own impatience, wondering how, when, and if Mulder and Scully would consummate their love.
