Let's face it, Harry has not had a great life, and when his name came out of the Goblet, it set him on the road to some of his worst times yet. Gabrielle is one of the few that doesn't believe that he submit his own name and vows to be there for him. She also eventually learns of his past and stops at nothing to help Harry get the much happier life he deserves.
