At first, it seemed like Phobos has escaped his prison (without the guardians' help) and kidnapped Elyon. However, this is a different Phobos, older, wiser, enamored with his sister, and funnily enough, with her destruction as well, until all that remained was her obedience. He's also got the future Heart of Meridian.
