Aleta has a secret: she's not fully human. She and four other teenagers had their DNA spliced with bird DNA before birth, and their wings were revealed at different times. After getting kidnapped by the lab who created her, Aleta and the four other mutants escape and stay together. Soon, she realizes that one of her new friends has his eye on not just the sky, but on her as well.
