What if the events of ME2 had happened before ME1? After the disaster of Torfan Shepard spends 5 years in prison. Upon her release she is recruited by Cerberus to investigate the mysterious disappearances of entire human colonies in the Terminus Systems and find the answers to the questions that torment her: Can war criminals ever redeem themselves? Should they even be allowed to?
