Edward was assward and a player. Put to death for a crime he didn't commit and then given heavenly offer that could lead to his redemption that he could refuse. He was going to be able to find the true criminal, but, he must also aid to give hope back to an unfortunate woman that has given up and ready to die. The catch he stays a spirit until mission done.
