Hermione loves her parents and wishes nothing more than to tell them everything that happened during her fourth year at Hogwarts, but they are not of the wizarding world no matter how much they support their daughter in her adventures there. How do you tell somebody their daughter is being pushed towards the front lines of a war in a world they can't truly understand?
