Someone to Watch Over Me

I knew I shouldn't have been. I mean, I hadn't even know the man longer than an hour. He could have been a killer for all I knew, but I felt a twinge of sadness to see that had left me so suddenly. It wasn't often that someone as fascinating as him passed through my small life. Even so, I would probably never see him again. He was there, and then he wasn't.
