The Stiltons thought they knew Geronimo. He is a timid yet stern gentlemouse that loved to learn about new people and places even though he hated traveling. He took all their kookiness in stride with only an annoyed grumble and the occasional scolding. That was their scardeymouse. If only they paid closer attention to what their newspaper editor was just barely containing.
