After an accident during his escape from Malfoy Manor, Harry sees his time in the Wizarding world in a new light and decides he's tired of how things are going. He goes to meet with the Dark Lord to discuss a new way to change things. Pre Tom/Harry, a bit of WolfStar (of course).
