Pretty long oneshot, F!Cousland/Gilmore. The story of Nalissa Cousland's first love: they grew up together in the same castle, but fate and their stations tore them apart. Somewhat of a prequel to Running the Gauntlet if you're into that, but otherwise a standalone tragic romance of one of my two favorite origin story couples.
