Although having only known him for a few short weeks Tauriel is left shocked and grief stricken following the battle of the five armies and Kili's death. Left struggling to find closure for a love she would never have considered possible, she returns to Mirkwood and will either wither or be rebuilt under Thranduil's watchful gaze.
