Makoto Naegi, Ultimate Kuriboh Duelist

He thought he was a perfectly average duelist, with a perfectly average deck. But after defeating the unbeatable Byakuya Togami, Makoto Naegi is invited to attend Duel Academy as their first Kuriboh duelist. Predictably, not many take him seriously or have faith in his abilities. And Byakuya sure as hell isn't going to take this loss lying down.
