It's been three since Sonic and Tails foiled Dr. Eggman's scheme on Angel Island and they haven't heard from the mad doctor since. Just as they start thinking their adventuring days are behind them though, Eggman returns with a new scheme to threaten the Earth with... the planet Mars.
