Saving You

The only thing running through Max's mind that moment was that she had to save him. She knew Mike was acting on emotions and revenge; he's not thinking clearly. She had to protect him. She had to protect him of himself, no matter of the outcome. She was going to be there for him, 'til the end. She was going to save him and only then does he realize how much he truly cares for her.
