Purpose

Skirmishers do not question if they shall live or die as they advance into nations far from home to complete missions and lay the groundwork for operations to come. Perhaps in another story, from another perspective, it would tell of their misdeeds. But here, they're simply around a warm fire, with a roof over their heads, and food in their stomachs.
