Waterblood

A reimagining of the Greek myth of Cassiopeia and Andromeda. The kingdom of Aetha is falling to ruin, and Queen Kassiya, a mage with power over water, is at her wits' end protecting it from invaders and famine. A young orphan named Andaya may be the key to restoring Aetha's former glory. (Aiming for novelette length.)
