Anne and Gilbert are engaged and living in the modern day. The couple live together in Kingsport, Nova Scotia, while Gilbert attends Redmond Medical School. In this one-shot, Anne attends the book launch / book release party for Margaret Burton, her writing rival in "Anne of the Island." Gilbert is supportive of Anne's talents, as always.
