Animal or Human

a street orphan finds herself in the worst of situations-captive, in a lab, with a madman and a strange canister. a few months in captivity leads to a desperate escape, and the victim escapes into the underground sanctuary of the sewers. But what was she now, human, or animal? She doesn't know-and isn't certain she can find out.
