Stardate: 2275. After the triumph of the USS Enterprise against the V'Ger probe, Starfleet is preparing to launch its latest vessel, the USS Excalibur, registry NCC-1756, named in honor of the one that was destroyed in the M-5 computer experiment. Their first mission is to investigate an anomaly that has caused interference and problem in the Diringel system; what could go wrong?
