Annie is about to start high school, but with a controlling mother, a father she never sees and far too much work to deal with, she starts losing control. She begins to worry about her weight, her clothes, her studies, her family and panics. Eventually, she stumbles across a drug that is supposed to help her keep control. Adderall.
