AU and off the grid. Starts in the realm of season 1, Kate and Castle meet. In this story she gets shot but it's different than what happened on the show. He does not follow her around at all but they become friends while she helps him with a book. For the rest you have to read just don't tell me it's not in character... I know because I am writing AU and mostly OOC.
