Just the Way They Are

Prequel set in the time period after Adam returns to the Ponderosa from college. Based quite a bit on misunderstandings, Joe harbors a lot of jealousy of Adam which affects his interactions with his oldest brother. The trip home from a cattle drive and a series of unfortunate events begin the healing of the rift between the brothers.
