Summary
Everybody remembers the day the war started. By now everybody knows why it started. What nobody knows, however, is how close extinction looms around every corner, and how close it was on that day. A shadowy organization knew what was coming, and they prevented it. They made a sacrifice on that day to give Earth a glimmer of a chance to see a better day.
