Tori's mother was a singer and her husband was abusive and one day she and her mom escaped from him but got in a car crash in which her mother died and David (Tori's dad from the actual show) promised to look after her and Tori has nightmares about the accident and Jade (who finds out through a friend of Tori's from the orphanage she grew up in) is there for her
