Byleth watched Jeralt smile at Monica and wondered what his father would do if he got the chance to go home. Would he go to sleep or would he find an excuse to talk to Byleth, as he sometimes did after a hard day? He wanted that again and wanted it fiercely. Byleth decided he simply couldn't let this happen.
