Impact Winter

Subsequent to an asteroid colliding with the planet, an enormous amount of dust and ashes was ejected into the atmosphere. Dense clouds swelled across the sky, obstructing the light from the sun. The temperature decreased, and it gradually converted to a wasteland covered in snow. It quickly wiped out all forms of life on earth and plunged the planet into a cold, bitter darkness.
