To get away from her family, 19yo Denise Fryberger moves to Bon Temps. This is the first time she is out on her own... mostly. She moves in with her VERY distant cousin Sam Merlotte. She likes him well enough, but he is a little overbearing. He gives her a job at his bar & grill and she meets someone special. Hopefully, he can be the one she's looking for.
