When Chancellor Jaha decides to send 100 juvenile delinquents down to Earth after 97 years, Angelos Hicks, the girl who was illegally born on the Ark, is one of those chosen criminals. After surviving the landing, it's all butterflies and sunshine to the 100, but with her luck, things become bloody and gory on the surface pretty quick when they learn that they're not alone.
