A Great Depression

The smell of damp water stunk up the alley making me almost gag. Also the smell of dirty trash didn't help either I felt cold because the frigid winter air bit at my skin. My brown skin felt dirty and unclean, which made it clammy. I shivered as a cold sweat trickled off my skin onto the alley ground. I couldn't really explain what I was really feeling.
