In the aftermath of Jane shooting Paddy Doyle, things have gone to hell. Maura stopped talking to Jane and treated her with nothing vitriol save cold professional at work. Her family sided with Maura chastising her for being cold and callous to Maura's mental & emotional state at the time. Fed up with being cast the bad guy, she leaves. 1st R&I fanfic so be gentle.
