Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to put the Uchiha outcast, the punch happy Jinchuriki, and weird pink haired girl on the same team. It was probably an even worse idea to put the emotionless ROOT agent on it as their squad leader. Hopefully Kakashi doesn't ignore his role as Squad Advisor for this mess.
