Alfred is the prince of the kingdom and Arthur is merely a peasant who lives with an abusive stepmother, and siblings who don't understand. He figures nothing will change, and things will only get worse, but he soon realizes that any dream is possible; even amongst the apparent impossibilities (based off of the story of Cinderella).
