Summary
When she was 7 years old, Luisa Madrigal rescued what she thought to be a drowning girl from the river in her hometown. Ramona confides in Luisa and tells her that she's a sirena. Ramona finds a home in the village, and she and Luisa become friends. What starts as a childhood friendship blossoms into a lifelong romance.
