Shawn's life seems to fall apart around him after receiving a letter from Virna stating that she is not his biological mother. With his father dead and mother anywhere but with him, Shawn submerges himself in the belief that everyone he cares about is going to leave him. Except Mr. Turner seems to be doing the opposite of running away, and Shawn doesn't know which is scarier.
