Summary
Fíli has been invited to go on an expedition with Thorin and the other Dwarves—his first big responsibility after coming of age. Kíli, desperate to prove himself, convinces Thorin and Fíli to let him come along. However, Kíli is too reckless for his own good, and it may just alter his and Fíli's lives forever.
