Kinch learned long ago that if he wants his talents to be recognized as good, he has to be great and that if he wants to be treated as an ordinary human, he needs to be an extraordinary one. But no one is perfect, and, unfortunately, making a mistake in his line of work carries consequences far beyond his own life and reputation. Written for the SSSW challenge.
