When the angel twins returned from the Golden Land, they bring back two animals from the area. Dark Pit took a small animal called a Zaru and Pit a baby kraken. Palutena already knows that letting them keep the pets was a bad idea but Shulk's vision of what the kraken does when it gets older confirms the bad vibe coming from the kraken.
