Summary
Itachi's hand is forced; Naruto's life is changed. With an unexpected and unfit mentor, Naruto learns about life outside of Konoha while grappling with the consequences of every move he makes. Can he become strong enough to keep the Akatsuki at bay? Will he burn out before he can defeat them? Is he the ultimate sacrifice or too great a cost? Naruto has to find out for himself.
