Harriet Jane Potter can't escape the boy who lives inside her head. He controls her actions through the threat of an oppressive evil and is never truly satisfied. Her discovery of magic offers her a temporary solace but soon she discovers that her life is more entwined with the boy's than she first thought and in her fourth year she watches as her nightmare comes to life.
