Things are looking hopeless during the The Battle of Hogwarts. In an act of desperation, Hermione says goodbye to Harry and Ron and returns to a time when Voldemort is not immortal, to meet Tom Riddle, and kill him. But no one mentioned his greatest weapon was his dark charisma or his hypnotic pull.
