Why was it that people were so terrified of death? To Hermione as she went through the pages of the old book and gazed at the intricate drawings of dancing skeletons and of Death holding hands with the living, death was nothing more than a mere companion in life. To be scared of something that was going to happen later meant you were scared to live.
