Summary
Flavius is a young Roman who signs up for the Auxiliary under the command of Septimus Calpurnius Bellicus. When Septimus orders Flavius to commit war crimes, he deserts. He is soon caught and his family is torn asunder. Now, Flavius finds himself thrown into the arena at Capua and must fight for the House of Batiatus in order to seek revenge, freedom, and family.
