Star Trek: Shattered Fragments

Spock Prime, feeling his usefulness in the altered timeline nearing its end, decides to retire...but his plans instead become one last adventure. This story, written in 2013 for a dying friend (who shared my dislike of Abrams Trek, and who thankfully did get to read it, before dying), was rendered even more apocryphal by the death of Leonard Nimoy and the events in "ST: Beyond".
