Severus didn't want any kids. He'd had to teach them and knew how they operated. He already had to deal with them at work, why would he want to have them in his personal life? Harry did want kids. He always had. He wanted to raise them, and give them everything he was deprived of. He knows that Severus doesn't want kids, but when he ends up pregnant he clings to hope for his love.
