It was over. He had nothing left. Abandoned by those he held dear, he has nothing left to keep him tied to this mortal plane. If only he hadn't believed that house-elf. If he had just thought things through. Then everyone would be safe. Everyone would be happy. His safe illusion wouldn't have had to end. If only he had learned his lesson. Then he wouldn't need the vial.
