Ifrit's Curse

If the Hexatheon were bound to bless Noctis in his mission and Ifrit was under the control of Ardyn, wouldn't that pose a threat to the new King? Instead of a blessing, why not curse the Astrals' beloved Prince? Ardyn's being Ardyn and getting in their way. Vicariously, of course. Takes place immediately following the Steyliff Grove dungeon questline.
